Mill Hill with the river in front, Devils Dyke and the BP competition held at Mere 1976, showing the black Wills Wing Swallowtails  used in the film "Sky Riders" Staring James Cockburn and shot in Greece poor film but some good flying footage.

The Wills Wing Swallowtails  came first second and third in every class. The Wills brothers gave the black gliders to some english  pilots because the black sails had stretched in the sun over in Greece !! -- still beat every thing we had at the time. Don't know who got them, but we ended up with the Hiway Cloudbase and Wasp Falcon, a big jump in technology for the british that day. Also includes Johnny Carr flying a Wasp CB 240 and the Miles Wing Gulp, etc etc. Don Liddard
